Biography

 

Yen-Der Cheng received his MSE training in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University (93-95) and took a number of graduate courses towards a doctorate degree at the University of Maryland (95-00).  He is currently a Program Manager for Maryland Department of Environment (MDE).  His program in MDE is responsible for performing modeling and simulation to evaluate the impact on water quality from pollutants discharged from municipal and industrial wastewater facilities.  He has participated in the development of many TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in MD and DC and has received service awards from both EPA and MDE for his contributions in water quality modeling.
